A couple issues with this guide that he doesnt mention: You need to purchase the shanty pass Make sure you dont bring 'armour' but some other other clothing. When you try to exit in the slave clothes the guards will throw you in jail. If you put on any piece of armour the guards will throw you in jail and take away your key. As someone who's new to the game this should really be mentioned, as the quest almost doubled in the time it took me to complete. Still though, a great guide as always.

Thank you so much for this. Every time I do one of these long quests I think to myself, "how tf are we expected to figure this out without a guide?" The quests in this game are borderline impossible to complete using only the info given by the game.

Tells me to equip my weight reducing armor, so I do and get thrown in jail..

Future note for anyone stuck on the captain: In the SW corner search the bookcase and hit space bar for a one line message noticing theirs a lot of books about sailing. talk to the captain and continue the guide! hope this helps! :D

Small note to the edit 2 in the description: you still have to use the winch bucket and afterwards you have to select 1, 1. I went to the guard straight away because I read the description (lol) and got caught. Rest of the guide was flawless. Thanks!
