I like Stefan's slower, more calm tone in this episode. To me it feels more like teaching than trying to spit out information as fast as humanly possible.
I like the calmer sit-down and learn mood of this!
One of my favorite rings had a pair of dragon claws holding a rough ruby and a rough moldavite.
Tektites have been found in South America. More specifically in Uruguay and Brazil. Both findings are still being studied, and the papers haven't been published yet. However, there are abstracts published in conferences, and the papers are on there way, stay tuned!
8:45 For scientific purposes, it's still "Panspermia Hypothesis." While I very much subscribe to this hypothesis as possible, we don't call something a theory until it's has much more supporting evidence. And thank you for this wonderful video!
found one of these on a sandy beach near st augustine florida after a hurricane, didn't know what it was until today
I started collecting moldavite when it was around $5 a gram, it goes for no less than $30 a gram these days. It was a life saver for me when i got into a terrible car accident. I had to let some museum quality pieces go, but I still have a roof over my head! For any of you who are into the metaphysical side of things, moldavite will mess with you, so be cautious!
This episode ROCKS!
I always love the rocks box episodes. These are some of my favorites.
I’ve ever heard of tektites before, and I’m very glad I now have. This was a great episode.
It would be so exciting if we get to experience "life" on another planet(or moon) in our lifetime, even if it's just simple bacteria.
the fact that they named it "darwin glass" BEFORE knowing its possible importance is an extraordinary coincidence
I love that the rocks y’all sell are ethically sourced. Just fits with this channels ethos.
I'm Tasmanian and I've seen these :)
this is very interesting and cool!
Not to mention that small moons with an ocean under ice containing life may be very common and would be easier to fling chunks off.
I absolutely beamed seeing this!! I'm Tasmanian and have been sooo keen to learn more about Darwin glass, thank you so much for covering it! You guys are the best. Much love from the little island 💚🌱
As others have commented, calm presentation in this video. Plus, I love the lizard wizard pin, Stefan!
Did you notice the pet rock in the background?
