I love his koko style. Nothing can stop him. His attention to every detail not just the doing . The prep, his standards for any aspect of his art life. His attention to mixing, color, values , chroma.etc etc etc . His self image- he’s open to feedback but thank you know what’s good and what’s not.
The difference in why you should listen to him is he actually does what he says. He uses the mirror. He won’t begin unless he has a great photo. He hires models to paint live. Just impressed by his standards.

Dear Ben, I have seen a lot of oil painting tutorials out there but not one of them had me as excited in seeing as these ones. Without doubt you are one of the best portrait artists I have seen. Your painterly style, lost and found edges, tone & value is truly inspiring.  I can't wait to be able to purchase your DVD's!. Amazing master & teacher of our time.
