Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. I think it's good for people to see and hear from people who have used the tools since there are so many out there now.
Thanks for watching! The glidecam 3000 will be able to support heavier cameras, but it will also be heavier since it can support more. However you'll be able to add a reference monitor to the 3000 if you want to grow with it. If you're not sure if you'll be using it a lot, it might make sense to start w/ the cheaper model. If you think you'd like to grow with the tool as you improve, a higher end model makes sense.
I saw your Merlin 2 video. I might go with the Merlin 1 on ebay used... I've had many troubles with stabilizers. I've made/had/and taken back Johnny Chung's $14, Wondlan, Blackbird and now I'm back trying to customize a $14 one again with no luck
Awesome! Hope you have fun with it. Thanks for watching!
thanks for the fast response! the clips i'll be shooting will likely range from 5-30 seconds, probably generally around the 15-20 second mark.
Thanks for breaking it down. I find I have had similar problems with the standard sized flycam with bits coming loose and it 'unstabilising' itself as well.
I'd recommend the one that will be able to support the weight of your camera setup. If you do a comparison between the 3000 and the dslr nano - which one supports the weight?
I think my motivation ran out on month 6. I still stand by my suggestion mine was broken... The shots look great mate - but my primary use was going to be at weddings and considering it takes too long to set-up I decided unless I had a separate operator for just that - it was going to be pointless. How's the Mark ii? Got our second the other day and it's gone back and been replaced twice. Dodgy LCDs with green tints. Canon says 'Mark iii is now our main unit - so this is how the Mark ii is...'
my flycam is balance however when i walk, you can see little jerks of my footsteps, how do i fix that? it seems to be balance and it takes 3 seconds to fall
Thanks for the reply.. Both can support the weight but the nano will be near the limit weight.. Would that be wise to a stabilizer near the limit weight? I would prefer the nano coz its lighter but I'm worried that it might not stabilize enough than the 3000..
New sub -- I can see the benefits of using the Flycam Nano documenting the fireground and emergency incidents. Great demo and subsequent footage. Lou
Thanks for watching Jerry. This was shot w/ the Canon 60D.
this looks great! i have a 5D Mark II and am currently deciding between this nano DSLR stabilizer, the Glidecam HD-1000, and the Glidecam 2000 PRO. the nano DSLR and the Glidecam 2000 PRO are more in my price range though (both around 200). I'm wondering if the Nano DSLR is worth it? I just need an entry level stabilizer for 6-10 months
i'm looking at a steadicam flyer. i need something to support a red epic/scarlet setup
which section were you curious about? list the time and i can probably just tell you how to get it
i bought mine and it keeps on spinning, i think its something related with the gimble feeling really loose what can i do ? tighten it would that be possible ?
Should I get this or the glidecam hd1000? I might be going to Greece and I want a stabilizer for my 60D. I just want the smooth flow video and won't mind holding it for a while
Thanks for watching Lou!
from 5:38 the preview of you testing the flycam the colour correction is just totally awesome i use sony vegas pro 11 so if u give me directions on how to get i would appreciate that thanks mate
