"She emigrated" That's a funny way of putting it. Last I checked it was completely illegal for Koreans from the northern part of the peninsula to do so. Yes, it is possible to play against North Koreans in online games. I do all the time in War Thunder. Often they are just living and working in China and Russia and as such are accessing a more free side of the internet than that of North Korea. Still, the internet they do have access to is not free and is heavily censored and harmonized. But some tech savvy North Koreans who have day jobs as spies often go online with VPN to access gaming, when not trying to convince some westerner to help him get hired at a tech company using their identity for remote work over discord.
