Sydney Ranga ji, let me explain a few things, please spare me your valuable time. In the (probably) 25th shlok of this great stotra, there is a reference to various diseases being cured / alleviated by chanting this powerful bhujhanga stotra. The diseases mentioned are: apasmaara referring to probably dementia and loss of memory that occurs with advantages age. There is also mention of other diseases in the particular shlok: like kshya meaning tuberculosis, kushta meaning leprosy and gulmadi roga meaning probably a spectrum of diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract and the genito urinary tract. Many of our stotras do dwell upon the fact that chanting of these will relieve us diseases: In one of the couplets of hanuman chalisa you have the line : naase rog hare sab peera japat nirantar hanumat beera. Again in one of the shlokas of Durga saptashati- durga is described as rog naashini. The list is endless Ranga ji. Thank you for sparing your time to read my mail.
