As someone who's actually watched the Newcastle matches and not just listened to hype from pundits or read opta stats, Murphy has been Newcastle's best player this season. Isak isn't the clinical finisher everyone thinks he is, and if he joins a bigger club that will be exposed coz rivals will start watching all his games too.

Move Gvardiol to CB and Robinson at LB and that's a pretty solid team. Could maybe make an argument for Cunha on the left and Isak through the middle, but Mateta is class

I wouldn't put Mateta in, just throw in one of Mbuemo, Wissa, Cunha, Wood even Haaland on 21 goals. Gray has been poor, Murillo or Konsa with Gvardiol. Kerkez/Robinson at LB. Munoz at RB. Tielemans, Bruno and another in midfield. It's so hard because the quality of the league this season has just been poor.
