When I was in early high school. There was a 944 parked on this side a barn / house from this old guy (I found out later). I’d literally would walk past it nearly everyday think I should just ask him about it. I never did and one day (I do believe when the man passed) there was a flatbed to haul it away from like a tow truck / junk company. Never scene it since. It’s the car that got away.

A porsche 944 is definitly a car on my radar, though I’d saving for a C5 Vette, front engine, rwd, manual, v8 with 350-400 hp and a near perfect 50/50 weight ratio

My brother just got an NA Miata, and its so much fun to drive. They make decent power stock for a small engine, and at 2200 lbs, its not exactly slow either. Dont know if people really think about power/weight ratio when comparing these cars.

The 944 is the only Porsche I've actually ever found attractive enough that I'd like to own one. I like a few of the others, but for me personally, not enough to buy one. But there's just something about the 944s body style that I've always loved.

944s are sweet, but no future Miata. Miata is good in many ways, but the number made, cost, ease of work, and availability of parts will always make it a more attainable option when compared to a turbo 944

I have competed against 944s a few times in my Miata and it’s a pretty fun battle every time. Still prefer my Miata though.
