@jordyp3696

if you have ever chopped wood with an axe you know there is a big factor overlooked completely.
hitting with an axe is easy, getting the axe back out of the wood after can be very hard.

@allestoll397

Touching a head and splitting a skull with an axe are two different things. Still an entertaining set up.

@vlagun2416

huge shoutout to all the volunteers :) this episode wouldn't have been possible without them

@The_Farwall

Oh man, I remember back in the 2010s when zombie events where a whole thing, we ran gauntlets through the city to evade volunteer hoards and shit. Good times.

@legateelizabeth

41:06 the zombie behind grant with the red hair went SO EXTRA for this. Enormous painted on or prosthetic mouth from ear to ear, proper monstrous zombie!

@AscendantStoic

Of course the axe is the better tool in this scenario, because you can run out of bullets pretty quickly, but you can't run out of axe (it's the same reason a lot of militaries still carry melee weapons on the battlefield despite the dominance of ranged weapons), also obtaining more bullets in a post-apocalyptic world is a lot harder than usual.

@ourkeving

5:30 " Let's get to testing!", plus his expression made choke on my toke lol

@KaidenLewis-wy4hd

If movies and videogames are the basis for this comparison then I'd assign these pros and cons to those two weapons. Feel free to add to that list
Gun: (good) long range, fast, lethal, easy to use, compact - (bad) loud, needs reloading, limited usage, useless without ammunition
Axe: (good) silent, doesn't require ammunition, useful tool in general - (bad) melee range, slow, can get caught or slip out of hands, exhausting to use, cumbersome to carry

@LilyTheCuteCatgirl

Mythbusters = me happy

@Wolf-ln1ml

"You are all individual zombies!" - "We are all individual zombies!" - "I'm not!" 😂

@trizomat9946

probably one of my favorites episodes ever

@InexplicableInside

It's a shame the axe-vs-guns test was in a fixed location. Surely it's better to move forward, carving out a temporary bubble of safety in front of you, and staying ahead of the horde behind you; plus they definitely could have let Jamie use the guns at longer range. I do think that test was doomed from the start, though, as it nicely showed - if you're surrounded by a hundred zombies, there's not many ways to survive.

And the distractions the trio used were all very expensive - if you toss one ally you'll quickly run out, Grant's big flashy decoy was made out of a bunch of steel and electronics that could have been used for fortifications etc., and Tory's disguise makes it very difficult or impossible to do a supply run, while also drastically increasing the chance of accidentally getting offed by a friendly at his destination if he makes it.

@zyhgar25

This episode seems like it was a lot of fun to make for probably everyone involved.

@rob.3143

For the 'running from zombies' test, it's not just the number. Its the fact that people are living with them all day every day. You can go out, be hypervigilant one day but can you do the same for a full week? A month? Do it when you've been up all night or slowly starving?
And for those who say yes, just remember that people get hit by cars which 'came out of nowhere' every day.

@zeus04

Why is the official MB channel posting videos from BBC with a MasterChef logo in the corner? Did the production company lose every single episode recorded? This is so strange.

@LerockJohn

Seriously all of these episodes are Smithsonian Worthy. They will be classics in 50 years and more.

@xX_BaneofBallas_Xx

I remember first watching this episode on TV
As a kid I still believed that zombies were real and these zombies were the real kind

@__________________________Fred

mythbusters is one of the greatest shows that was ever produced

@christopherGee019

good job to all participants......next we need the fast and strong zombie myth busting....would be really cinematic💯💢

@LuxiBelle

Adam lightly tapping people with the axe was the least realistic thing about this.
