A bit of advice I am almost 40 been on bikes since I was 7 years old started on dirt and moved to street asap. Top 2 tips from a experienced rider. #1 ride your own ride Do not try to keep up with no one until you are confident in your abilities to handle your bike at the speeds.. #2 hang on to that 400 Lear to ride the same way you want to ride a s1k or h2. I can take a r3 or a r7 or a ninja 400 and beat guys on 600s and 1000s in the curves but they close the gap on the straights. That's good advice my guy ask any seasoned rider they will tell you the same.

You asked what our dream bikes were... You're actually sitting on mine, at least my dream starter bike. A Ninja 400 or really any of the baby Ninjas, 300 or 250, I like the idea of something lightweight like that. As for something bigger maybe a Versys 650 or one of those big BMW tourers with the panniers and top case, but I'm not very tall so I'm not sure if I'd ever feel comfortable on those. Keep riding and learning, you're off to a good start, and hopefully I'll have a bike one of these years, right now I'm just watching other people riding and learning what I can online.

Accurately assessing your abilities is something that's gonna keep you alive and riding a long time. That's a rarity in guys your age. I heard you ask for advice on lane positioning somewhere in the middle of the video. I tend to ride the dashed line when I'm in traffic on a four lane like that regardless of what lane I'm in, because that means that basically everyone can see you. But really, the best positioning is the one that allows you to see furthest ahead and maintain a good escape path for if shit gets weird. You're doing great, though!
