French speaking person here - it's perfect. I love it. This song is amazing. The french parts send chills down my back. The tune is amazing, and the singing is hypnotic. It cheers me up in a way that very, very few can. Thanks Gav.
Reasons why i loved Arno: 1. He is a Assassin 2. He helped out the Revolution while helping the Assassin's 3. After being kicked out of the Brotherhood he still killed the grandmaster. 4. He had a sense of justice 5. Arno was doing his own thing despite being a assassin. He helped out innocents and knew he was still a human. Not a thing drove to kill certain people.
I vividly remember when this song came out, it's been 8-9 years but for some reason it feels like it's been a lifetime.
This guy is so talented. Three years later and I'm still listening to this, as well as "Wake the white wolf". This guy has a very gifted talent in my opinion, with singing, instrumental, as well as editing skills when it comes to videos. They match perfectly with the pace of the music. Amazing work.
Learning french and it's satisfying as hell to understand the french lines
Just something I noticed. Assassins Creed Syndicate: "Revolution holds us bound." Assassins Creed Unity: "My revolution sets me free." Just thought that was kinda interesting. Great song, by the way. Love it.
A revolutionary to the end. The savior of france even after the brotherhood cast him out. Brothers and sisters shall we to make the mistake of casting one like Arno out? Or shall we strive to be like him and gather every man and woman with fire in their hearts into a brotherhood to fight for the innoccent?
After listening to this at least 40 times in two weeks, I am still wondering why game-making companies don't ask you to make soundtracks for them. Your game-themed songs are just too perfect.
Love this song. It holds up entirely separate from being about the game, which makes it so much better. There isn't enough music today made about such important historical revolutions like the French Revolution . . .
This should be an official trailer for the game.
It is tradition for me to polish my shoes while listening to the Assassin's Creed soundtracks by Miracle of Sound, makes the task more enjoyable experience
Voices joined will never tire Brothers all are we Streets they run with blood and fire The price of liberty My revolution carries me In a moment lost in time My revolution sets me free I will flow across the lines Bring out the brother in me I’m searching for unity Everything is changing Inside of me The city’s under my feet The ruins of the elite Everything is changing Inside of me Secret truths are buried deep Two fathers on two sides With every lunge and leap Closer to my kind My revolution carries me In a moment lost in time My revolution sets me free I will flow across the lines Bring out the brother in me I’m searching for unity Everything is changing Inside of me The city’s under my feet The ruins of the elite Everything is changing Inside of me Révolution dans les rues (Revolution in the streets) Je vois le chaos en dessous (I watch the chaos down below) La justice est une rivière rouge (Justice is a red river) Je te cherche, où es-tu? (I search for you, where are you?) My revolution carries me... My revolution sets me free... My revolution carries me In a moment lost in time My revolution sets me free I will flow across the lines Bring out the brother in me I’m searching for unity Everything is changing Inside of me The city’s under my feet The ruins of the elite Everything is changing Inside of me My revolution... It’s gonna carry me Carry me Révolution dans les rues (Revolution in the streets) Je vois le chaos en dessous (I watch the chaos down below) La justice est une rivière rouge (Justice is a red river) Je te cherche, où es-tu? (I search for you, where are you?)
It wasn't until recently that I figured out how this (and by extension "London Town") connect with "Blood of the Creed" and "Beneath the Black Flag" (besides the fact they're about different games in the same series)..."Beneath the Black Flag" hints back to "Blood of the Creed" with the line 'Justice runs in Crimson Rivers' and "London Town" has the line 'Cry Revolution, smoke and steam!' Sung in the tune of 'My Revolution carries me' in this song. However, hidden in the French of this song is the line 'La justice est une riviere rouge' or 'Justice is a red river', alluding to Justice running 'in Crimson Rivers' I do so love how songs from the same series tend to have hints to the others, keep up the good work, you Miracle of Sound you!
2020 Still listening, this is some OG song.
Down a job, seeing ghosts, in debt, and this song still manages to put a smile on my face. Gavin, you are one glorious, talented bastard, and I love ya for it.
Despite it being almost 10 years all I can say I am always amazed by Gav's music
"The streets they run with blood and fire, the price of liberty". Truer now more than ever I guess. Loved the song gav
Very nice, that your new Song about Shadows is getting a few lines from this masterpiece!
This song still gets to me to this very day. Ran into this back in middle school and been love with this song since.
