Just as a note...we aren't saying that you shouldn't buy any of these things. This is meant to only share what we are doing and to get a dialogue started. Take what you want from our video and throw out the rest. Please share with us what you are no longer buying to save money at the grocery store.

@Mombierella

I just made the cardinal mistake of shopping lol! I went to the store before I had lunch πŸ˜…

@deborahmaehs7604

Great ideas, especially the seasoning packets as this allows you to lower the amount of sodium.

@GardeningwithBarchuckin

Nice share, but impulse buying is more fun πŸ˜‚

I've started making my own mayonnaise, mustard & ketchup. In the summer when the garden is going full steam ahead I can up a lot of diced tomatoes, marinara sauce, tomato paste and Ortega chilies for use in the winter. I don't buy canned beans hardly everl because I buy them dry and pressure can my own - saves a lot of money that way. I make a year's worth of pie dough and keep it in the freezer - so I don't buy that anymore. I don't buy Italian sausage and country sausage - but I do still buy straight pork sausage, I just season it and can it myself. We don't buy frozen pizzas either - we make balls of pizza dough that we keep in the freezer so we can make our own pizza from scratch with just a tiny bit of planning. I have individual bags of DIY "Jiffy" cornbread mixes. I used to buy little cans of mushroom pieces to toss into soups or casseroles, but those got too expensive. Instead I bought several packs of whole fresh mushrooms that I cleaned, sliced and dehydrated at home. I pick up discount French bread loaves at Walmart - usually around 50 cents each, and cut those up to make bulk batches of garlic bread or French toast that get frozen in bags for easy meals later. Same thing for the breakfast sandwiches - we make our own sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. Also egg and chorizo breakfast burritos. Yogurt gets made in the Instant pot with a half gallon of milk, and we use a tablespoon or so of the last batch to start the new one. Most seasoning mixes we do as well - need to find your recipe for cream of chicken soup though - that one would be handy!

@VibingWithQS

6:33, I totally feel you. No impulse

@Adrienne42

Impressive. I was happy because I learned how to make homemade ketchup and it’s delicious πŸŽ‰β€ probably a lot like making bbq sauce.

@mommykimberlysadventures954

Hi sissy n brother in Christ amen to that 😊❀

@CentsibleLivingWithMoneyMom

Hi I remember that you make your own cream of mushroom too. Way to go

@noexcuses_beliefinmyself

My biggest offender on that list is the cream of.... soup. I always way I am going to do it...but never Ironically just this morning I saw a recipe for the dry mix....and decided to do it! Then your video popped up! I think I have received my gentle nudge!

@FiguringOutRetirement

Nice job! I rarely buy mayo anymore. I make it at home

@CelineFerocious

Cakes from scratch, I bet they’re so good! And granola is so much better when made at home too.

@BackroadMoney

This was a great video, this is something I've been working on as well. I'm just using up the packaged items I already have.

Loooove your channel. Just found it. Thank you!!!

@SimpleTastyFood2024

Now since I know how to make a cake from scratch, I agree with you about the caktmix. Frozen meals also has so much sodium, how to healthiest, as you mentioned, when you make something big, just freeze it. Very nice Sharing 😊. Have a great day ❀️

@LifeWithMike85

Thanks for the great tips you all! Great sharing! 😊
