Oh, sweet Claire! Another excellent video full of great tips. I have suffered sewing burnout many times over the years, but I always find my way back to it. I love it when you show us your makes. We really do want to celebrate your achievements with you. I never thought you were showing off. Quite the contrary, in fact. You look healthy and happy (and so darn cute), and you sound strong and confident. Loved the Fred cameo. Rest assured that I will do all the things. Bye for now, love.
Thanks so much for your advice on sewing with health challenges. I’m lucky to have a craft room now, my lack of energy and chronic pain, is the barrier. Hearing you talk about mindfulness helps! Absolutely celebrate every win! I’ve sewn several aprons, clothespin bags, and decor items this time round. Just about to try garments again. This is my third run at sewing, excited to learn more skills, make unique clothing. I’ve been following your channel for several years. So glad you are back to sewing.
Sewing truly is my happy place! With each garment that I finish I feel so thrilled if it fits well and looks good with the fabric and pattern I have chosen!
I’m hoping to get back in my sewing space by Friday. I’ve been doing some dusting and my sewing space needs some cleaning. I’ve been working on pants pattern and I was making quite a bit of progress before I was given the cancer diagnosis. I’m looking forward to getting back in my sewing space. I don’t know how far I’ll get but I’m just going to take advantage of the time I can sew and just going to enjoy when I can do it.
I've been on an extended break from sewing, but today I made two pot holders, badly but they are done, my machine is not good enough for sewing though thick padding but I'm not worried about it, it was a quick job just to start again. ❤
Congrats your video looks light , airy and you seem more settled now. Thanks for sharing from 🇨🇦
I agree to making your hobby as easy as possible! If my sewing machine was tucked away in a cupboard, I would probably never sew again. 😂 It really does make all the difference.
Love your ideas!! Thank you for sharing.
You look and sound amazing!!! I love to listen to you❤️🥰
Thank you Claire. ❤️ I can honestly say I don’t have a strong opinion on the length of your videos, I just enjoy them short or long. I have only been watching you since Dec 2023, I always find you interesting and very sweet. ✌️
Our house has been all packed up to move house since June. House sale has now fallen through twice! Never realised how much my sewing was helping cope with stress. I have so missed my sewing room
I only discovered you last year, Claire, and I've learned so much from you. Not just about sewing but about lifestyle and pacing & things if other things that have been, and are so helpful. As someone living with ME /CFS for decades, it's so refreshing to hear and learn things from someone who knows what it's like. I've thoroughly enjoyed your videos from day one & you're a real inspiration and encouragement to keep going. You're glowing inside and out, it's wonderful to see. 🙌
This was a nice video. It took me a while to watch since I kept getting interrupted by a certain cat, and then we've been peppered by storms so a few power outages, however brief! I don't really care if you make a quick video or a longer one. I'll watch them because you make them, and I always find something in every video that I can enjoy and applies to me. Lately I've been back into sewing alot to deal with some depression and the darkness of winter. I must have a love hate relationship with winter. I enjoy the rain and the cooler weather, and staying inside puttering, but on the other hand, it seems like it's dark all the time, and feeling more alone when I'm cooped up. It's been very hard since losing my husband last year. This month is his birthday, maybe that's part of it! But I'm primed and ready to enjoy watching you get creative with whatever project you want to work on, whether crochet or sewing or painting your house, whatever you do, I will watch!! Thanks for all the effort you go to for us in putting out helpful friendly content. You're such a sweetheart, Claire. Thanks for understanding when I go through a slump. I know you've been there, and you get it. xxx Lita
Hi Claire! I’ve been watching you on and off since about 2019, I think. And I’ve seen you go through all sorts of phases. I’m so glad to see you looking so well now, that’s a great relief to me - I have suffered many issues over the years too (not autism, but stemming from parental emotional abuse) and also burnout so I am glad to see you bring some of these things out into the open! I also get overwhelmed and in fact I am rather at the moment. But I’ve spotted it coming and so I’ve spent a good week now just finishing things off that I’d started and now I’m feeling much better. This time of year can be a bit overwhelming, can’t it? Finish things off, step back and breathe…. Go for a walk, that helps such a lot. Many thanks for your advice and I’m looking forward to seeing what you’re sewing! Karen (up North) x
I feel so lucky to have my own craft space. It’s just a wee shed in the garden with my art stuff at one end & my sewing stuff at othe end…..it’s made such a difference. Only found you recently, & really enjoy watching your vids x
Thanks, your videos help make me a happy crafter!
You look so much happier now that you’ve moved into your new place! I’m sure it was load off your stress level.
Hello Claire. 🙋♀️ I've been subscribed since 2020? 2021? I remember your 2 places ago sewing room with your Kallex units of fabric and you were doing a destash or organization video. I was immediately drawn in by your genuineness. You're one wonderful human! You're my favorite YT. You never disappoint. I always gain a piece of wisdom or an important reminder from your videos - today's nugget: drink water! Literally hours can disappear and I'll have a headache before I realize I'm dehydrated. Have a wonderful day! 💟🤗
You are an inspiration.
