This is the Ledger hack story that Bird Beez & Treez was asking about. It tuns out the user signed a malicious transaction years ago, but of course claimed that:
Purchased directly from Ledger
Did not reveal seed phrase
Stored in secure location
Never signed malicious transaction
Blah Blah Blah....

By the way, @Dock Capital was telling me I was WRONG about solo crypto mining (I say it is not a money tree & not worth the trouble) and he recommended a Bitaxe mining rig. Well, it turns out they are just a hobbyist, low hash rate, open-source, add-in card. Which even the founder admits is NOT PROFITABLE.
