I'm a Tunisian and I always avoid any restaurants that serves some tunisian food like couscous and lablabi, because they always make it expensive (especially for tourists) with bad quality. I recommend you to visit newly built restaurants, there is a small chance of getting scammed there, and they always provide to everyone high quality food and support, and normal food pricing. In general, eating outside in restaurants or fast-foods is bad, because you don't know who owns the place, and they could use some old cooking oil, poisonous fishes... etc, so make your own food at home is the better choice to avoid getting sick.
