The other 3 boys seemed to have fun with each other. All that scheming crap from the adults around them made them hate each other. Being Targaryen was their death sentence.

Theory: in the books it's stated that during adolensnes Vhagar was the smallest of the 3 dragons. But growing up ends almost as big as balerion. Aoemond was picked on, but later on becomes the most powerful.
