@historybuff1

Thank you, ❤.

I am an ardent admirer of your videos on all ancient Indian history ; there is no room in your narratives for hyperboles, facts are clinically analysed and no personal bias or colourations of whatsoever. Scientific to the bone shards. Please keep it up. I want to see the day in future when you are recognized as the leading Historian of The Indian Union.

@Im_a_learner

Just the guy I was looking for to know more about the situation in gupta and mauryan empire. And he also explain it proficiently, what more would one want.

@amanprasad1345

At 5:26 you said "ra" Was not there in Eastern part Maurya empire and it was pronounced as "la" But in present this is exactly opposite . In bihar La is most of the time replaced with Ra. Few example I am putting

1. Kaleja(a body part) became kareja
2. Kela(banana) became kera
3. Gaali(slangs) became gaari
 There are many example.

@RaviShastryC

Thanks for education ❤️😇🙏

@tanned06

Sometimes, as noticed as well in modern days, spoken (conversational) language/dialect at a particular region may vary quite considerably with the official written/literary language/dialect. I believe what's commonly spoken among the ordinary folks would differ to some degree with what's put in inscription which reflects the language used by the educated elites/powerful and rich.

@sohamshinde7978

The reason why maharashtri prakrit was similar to pali would be because
As satavahana were feudateries of mauryans and had influence from buddhism . It was very much similar to textual pali .
About ञ , ण and न they would be becuase of dravidian speakers in maharashtra region and as they were present before arrival of indo aryans in maharashtra .

@gameruleworld.1889

What languages were used in andhra pradesh and karnataka region in time of mauryan empire plz reply???

@suryakr9199

Prakrit should taught at school to kids across India .. so by next generation we could have one common spoken language like English

@kraut1982

Interesting video! As far as I understood Prakrit is not one language but several ‘natural’ languages spoken in India and Indian subcontinent as opposed to ‘formalized’ or ‘standardized’ language Sanskrit. Is this a new classification-Eastern,Western, Northwestern as earlier I had heard about Magadhi, Ardhamagadhi, Sauraseni, Maharashtri, Gandhari, Prakrit. Even Old Persian of Achaemenid (ह क्स आ म नी इ श /हक्षमनीश/ हखमनइष) Empire there is the use of ख where in equivalent Sanskrit words the letter क्ष would be used.

@PranavGogwekar

Wonderful video. Good to know these details.

@aryankumarprasad1574

I notice that NW dialect have much more sounds, these sounds are also there in Sanskrit. This is also the region that gave birth to Panini, can this be realted?

@avikchakraborty9865

Hi. Can you make a video on Bengal or Assamese history because it is very rare to find them in mainstream media

@rishavkumar1250

5:53 true to this day , This thing is more common among Biharis I think , Akash is Pronounced as Akas .
Certain pronunciation features have been maintained .

@dwarasamudra8889

When did Maharashtri Prakrit, Magadhi Prakrit, Gandhari Prakrit, Shaurseni Prakrit start to form?

@bhanudebhargav4035

Love from andhra pradesh we r alwys one ❤️

@raginisingh2251

Were both Pali and Prakrit languages used in Mauryan period?

@Hey-Yes-you-yes-you-

A suggestion : Make a video on Khas aryan people of J&k, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Nepal and their rivalry against Kiratas

@royarnab26

Are the present day Punjabi Khatris they were descendants of the Aryan tribe of Northwest like Gandhar, kamboj, kaths, Or kekayi in Punjab or they were mixed race of Huns, Greeks,Kushans Or Scythians???

@kraut1982

@6:36 Interestingly ख sound instead of क्ष is observed even in Old Persian inscriptions of Darius from Achaemenid empire.
