@dfilm

Andre you are kicking butt with videos. These longer-form ones are my favorites.

@MarioKartGamerDude

This wasn’t a direct, this was an overview trailer for those who didn’t watch ANY treehouse footage or demo gameplay!

@Yeeterora

Fun Fact: The Yoshi map from N64 had question marks bc the system couldn’t keep track of what position people where really in due to the multiple routes of the map

@monkeydluffy5054

In my opinion they shouldn’t have called it direct but just crash course in showing the new stuff in it

@MamaSymphonia

I think people are sleeping on the routes between tracks. As anyone who's played Euro Truck Simulator can tell you, the routes between two points of interest, if curated with care, can be just as interesting as the destinations themselves. I'm very excited to see what secrets and fun visuals are sprinkled around.

@koemon_exe

People be like "my life is a movie"

Andre be like "my life is a Nintendo Direct"

@guywhoateallthepizza1031

Not everyone watched the Treehouses or got to play at the experience events.

So, to the average person, it literally was new footage

@XGrizzx

I hope we get rewarded for actually doing stuff in the open world, there definitely should be a shop to spend our coins or a cool way to unlock characters etc

@mariocooper1996

I definitely hope they add DLC to this game (even if it’s mostly more racers).

@XGrizzx

I hope that they didn’t make this gigantic open world just for the sake of it, I mean man the potential is insane here! I really hope they use it!

@Gulag_Edits

Here in the UK, we get it for £60.31. A whole $20 cheaper.

@joaoffmoraes

IMO all I've seen keeps me hyped for the game. They've shown the battle mode, missions and more of the game.

Preordered the bundle and cant wait for Jun 5th

@yawn.94

I wonder if there'll be an under ground world like in tears of the kingdom :V

@mikeburgess9382

To answer Nicks question, around 33:00, There's a trailer for GameChat on Nintendo's YouTube channel that shows people playing online together and they have the same options of selecting individual tracks that are shown in the VS Mode section in the Direct. So we will be able to select all the different versions of tracks online. We dont know how the random matchmaking stuff will work though but I guess it will be random selection through those?

@solonepeon5805

The game just needs to come out now. They are indeed holding more content back as the game is being set up to last the whole life span of Switch 2, which would be another 8+yrs for it. Exciting times for us & 2025.

@Stevintage

I feel like open world concept more has to do with how the tracks are connected and then all the in between stuff was just to fill out the world

@TheBarefootDrummer

The thing about the $80 price tag, is that almost all of us here will get it for $50, but still complain about paying the $80.

@paulblay2330

DLC will be additional continents. The current continent is the bottom portion of the Mario Kart World map/logo.

@nickprewitt492

Happy Easter Andre & the rest of GameXplain!

@lukethephantomthief

Honestly, all that direct did was show me how this open world is really unnecessary because it just seems to be big and open for the sake of it with not a lot to do like they just went with the idea of making it open world on a whim because it sounded cool
