That intro was GOLD 😂
Definitely do raised garden beds in that location. You'll be fighting tree roots pretty bad. Raised garden can be a work of art when you add arches and trellises, string lights and a water fountain. I can only imagine all the fun you'll have building all those things. Fill up one section with ever bearing strawberries for a harvest all summer. Nobody gets tired of home grown strawberries!
Plant what you typically buy at the grocery store - start small unless you like canning and preserving. Make it a beautiful place with flowers, fountains, bird houses, etc and include a place to sit to enjoy it❤ that’ll make you want to visit the garden . Lighting (solar) and wild animal/pest prevention is key! Oh and automatic watering (drip system) will be a huge benefit 👍🏻
Plant some tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, oregano, basil, thyme, zucchini, eggplants, peppers, potatoes, etc...❤😊
What grows well in your area and stuff you will actually eat. :) also, maybe think about what fruit trees or whatever you might like somewhere on the property, it takes a while to get fruit. Also look into companion plants and pest deterrents and what not. Yup.
This is one of my absolute FAVORITE channels - Mason is hilarious and his safety tips are great! “Always know how to operate machinery before you use it” I’m not a gardener, but I’d do a little research for best produce and flowers for soil, temps, sun, growing season. I can’t wait to see what is planted!!
Blueberry’s,tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberry’s they are the 4th best things ❤❤
OMG! The flying shovel at the beginning, Wow! Looked amazing! Sorry about your internet cable! Nooooooo! What do we do without internet?!? lol Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to see more of the garden!
And colorful flowers 💐 sunflowers for example they are beautiful and you can eat the seeds ❤
You’re stunning 💖 That outfit is fire!
I don't have a big garden but every year I grow tomatoes and basil so I can make my own spaghetti sauce. This year I added cilantro and yes.... lettuce. Also have garlic and thyme growing.
Dahlias are our favorite~
You are hilarious! Yes, I caught the Let-us (lettuce in garden) just Genius! I would let you dig anything for me because I like you thinking! THINK BIG !!!!
Why was the beginning so dang FUNNY!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Plant a yellow zucchini. Slice them up, dip in a beaten egg, then in panko with a little salt and pepper. Throw them on the grill till soft and you got the best summertime treat in town. My boys go crazy over them.
You should plant tulips 🌷
Lettuce is actually a great thing to plant in the garden! Haha I literally only plant lettuce, and after I harvest it, and wash it, it will last like 3 weeks or so in the fridge. So it’s just super nice to have on hand! But when we have an actual garden vs just a pot I plant the lettuce in, these are the things I want to grow: Low maintenance veggies: - Lettuce - Tomatoes - Zucchini Veggies for stir fry because we make it a lot: - Red bell peppers - Asparagus - Broccoli - Carrots Veggies that need a lot of land: - Pumpkins is a must! - Sweet Corn Herbs (maybe use planters for these): - Thyme - Rosemary - Basil - Parsley - Cilantro A few others that require a bit of set up: - Snap peas - Mushrooms
Cherry Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers, Zucchini’s, Basil. Just a few of my fav’s.
I was thinking lettuce before you said it again!! lol ❤❤ Whatever you plant be sure to plant flowering herbs too in order help pollination! Lavender, chamomile, echinacea etc. so you can make your own tea. Which you will need to hang to dry, then you will need mason jars for harvesting then you will need shelves, then you will need a cool cellar or pantry. (See where I’m going with this?
