@gageabdul

"If you don't know why you need it then you probably don't need it"

@GammaCruxis

A little confusing, but still a far better naming scheme than wherever the hell AMD and Intel are doing.

@Master0fHyrule

Apple chips are delicious

@theandroidguyy

Explaining the Apple Silicon lineup: 🗣️👌😃
Explaining AMD's lineup: 🗣️☹️🤬

@Digitizedtech

Not even glazing Apple, but their silicon might be some of the best computer innovations in the past decade!

@garrettw99

Uhh people thought this was confusing? It’s like counting 1, 2, 3, 4

@COlNCELPRO

Is it confusing tho? Compared to Intel they have done a pretty good job simplifying chip names

@prathameshbhanap8894

We would love a bar graph cheat sheet for their relative performance in increasing order. For example, something like: M1 > M2 > M1 Pro > M3 > M2 Pro > M3 Pro > M4 > M1 Max > M2 Max > M4 Pro > M1 Ultra > M3 Max > M2 Ultra > M4 Max > M3 Ultra. Idk, im making these things up, but I'm sure you can plot them on a line with some research.

@ttolorunsogo

“If you don’t know it, you probably don’t need it” MKBHD 2025.

@jackfein8914

lol “double it and give it to the next guy” was the best way to explain the difference. I love your board professor Brownlee.

@RE4CT_

The "Max" name makes sense imo. It is the "maximum" size of the chips. Cuz Ultra isnt a standalone chip - its two of the biggest chips glued together

@stuntzLOL

bro had to delete it the first time

@cyruslcoulter

I saw you guys come up with this idea on the pod!

@aastikbiswas9314

Works just like a periodic table 😂

@fengli8156

That’s totally not confusing compared with 9900k 9950x3d

@Content_Creator10

Still using M1 Pro Mac. It's a beast, edits 6K and 8K raw footage. Most humans don't need anything beyond this, trust me!

@Sw1sher95

Bro never runs out of ideas. Real hustler

@MrBeastKorea

If they added two Ultras together, I hope they call it PLUS ULTRA

@ameyakshirsagar4941

That was super easy. Thanks Prof. Marques!

@Tasty-the-money

As someone who laughs at Apple products; this is a great explanation MKBHD. I didn't know it could be done in under a minute but here we go, nice.
