Look at it this way. Put your head on the line, get kicked and the goal doesn't count, win the ball and then get kicked, no goal plus a red card.

I dont know of 'dangerous play' is a rule in professional soccer...it was definitely a rule in club, indoor, and highschool soccer when I played. How is no one talking about the guy that went down and acted like he got kicked? Soccer flops are so funny to me...

When it’s a nice bicycle and there’s no contact, refs prefer to let it ride. If you’re a defender, you want the high kick, dangerous play called. If you grew up as a forward, then you’re complaining that the defender made a dangerous play by putting his face in a place that it doesn’t belong! I’ve played both and have complained both ways and both seem reasonable.

imo the defender took it out of the refs hand by getting out of the way. if he stuck his head in it would have been a foul.
