The music choice seems appropriate

Every rediscovered animal must been like: guess who's back

@qualityshitposts790

The background music showing extinct animals:
The background music showing rediscovered animals: They groovin

@KindaHaveSportsCards

It's insane how a species was thought to be extinct for 300 years and then rediscovered

@TheRealDismantler

This feels like this should’ve been released in 2010.

@teresitagonzalez5695

Living animals: I thought you died

Extinct animals that where re-discovered: yes
But my death was greatly exaggerated

@kentgil2526

Extinct animals: Rediscovered

Poachers: Oh Sh*t, here we go again

@VentiVonOsterreich

Finally an educational video that does not use generic sad piano music that matches the theme of the video, I was getting real sick and tired of it

@MIIC4H

Imagine discovering and naming a animal, and it dies.

@filmboyultimate

I think our planet was much more diverse back in the old days than today.

@Dennis.lindfors

Imagine not finding an elephant on one of the most densely populated islands in the world.

@rayyanfb

This is probably one of my most favorite videos ever. The vibes, the music, the nostalgic feel, and the mixed feelings of joy and sadness for the rediscovered and extinct species... I just love it. Great work!!

@Scelx

If the giant lizard can be declared extinct in the 1500's and be rediscovered in 2007 imagine how many 'extinct' animals may be roaming around

@zackOOO-nz9rh

This makes me wonder who the heck pays attention like
"Hmm, I havn't seen any ants of this exact shade of red, I wonder if they've gone extinct. And the worms too, That worm with that was a slight shade of pink differently is gone."

@nayardrox4782

Rediscovered Animals
Me listening to the song instead: Do yOu ReMeMbEr

@K1ng_Squ1dZ

This gives off very early 2000s youtube vibes.
Surprised this was 2 years ago

@KnottsBear-yTalesPreserved

The use of both Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind, and Fire is just perfection

@poggersquirrel583

The Kauai o’o bird is probably the most depressing. If you’ve seen the video, it’s the mating call of the last known bird.

@thrice42

It's important to remember that while species are sometimes rediscovered, they are usually still critically endangered and still in great need of help. Some may have been spotted a few times after they were initially thought to be extinct, but are likely extinct today, such as the ivory-billed woodpecker. Since many animals live in secluded areas, they wait for many years before officially declaring them extinct. Some species, like the Kaua'i 'o'o (whos last song you can hear on YouTube, very beautiful) were declared extinct but rediscovered a few times before finally being declared extinct a last time. Hopefully we can rediscover some lost animals, and those on the edge of extinction can recover! (and awesome video!)

@HappyMatt12345

I think the crested gecko's rediscovery is quite amazing because it went from thought extinct to least concern simply because of how well it took to captivity and how popular they now are among reptile enthusiasts.
