"I'm limited by the technology of my time" Is such a cold line
"dead tor almost 20 years, still taking me to school" that line bro...
There was a lot of reasons why RDJ was perfect to play Tony stark. Both of them had serious issues with their father, both of them had trouble with alcohol, and both of them wanted to find a meaning in life and to do what was genuinely right by everyone!!!
“What will always be my greatest creation, you” damn with a dad that cares so much I started to tear up
I like this version of the dad because despite all this you can pick one of two options: 1. He cares for Tony but didn’t make it clear 2. He viewed Tony as what he says here one of his “creations”, and wanted him to make achievements so he could live vicariously through the hypothetical discoveries not limited by the technology of his time. They solidified it in the endgame though so I guess 2 is gone but I kind of liked 2.
I miss this mcu
My favorite part is how much of an asshole Tony calls his dad and then he’s nothing but loving and supportive when we see him.
This scene carries so much weight in a son's heart
"I'm limited by the technology of my time" is one of the coolest lines I've seen
When I was a kid and I lost my dad this was the best superhero in my opinion Tony was always flawed enough to show character but always willing to do what's right in the end Thank You Robert Downey Jr For Making my childhood awesome
Damn that was beautiful
My dad died in 2020. I wish I really listened to his lessons or what he talked about sometimes. I mean, I'm not really older, i mean, I'm an adult, but at least once a week i look back and am like wow, i should have just listened to dad, he knew some things.
“It can change the world” makes a nifty battery for his suit
It's strange how you almost become numb to their absence after so many years but then moments you'd never expect hit you like a gut punch and you realize your love for them is still very much alive alongside the pain of losing them but you've lived with for so long you've forgotten you were injured.
"What is and always will be my greatest creation, is you." Tony should've said that to Morgan too in his last video message.
And he still didn't say " I love you" But say it indirectly
The look on Tony’s face when his dad said “my greatest creation is you” is priceless! It’s like he finally understood that his dad really did love him, but he just didn’t know how to show it.
I've always loved and belived in R.Downey Jr. and i'm so ecstatic that he's overcome his public demons then turned around and became the man that was always within him but the world finally seen him and have remained in love w/ him ever since!!!!!!!
The subtlety of the way he holds himself for comfort as his father speaks to him from the past...🤌
