Healing trauma is not easy, it's a process of understanding what your experience was, accepting it, and moving on. So much easier said than done. Sometimes unraveling a traumatic experience can lead to uncovering a different traumatic experience that was subconsciously hidden. Lots of unexpected emotions can pop up. It feels almost like a journey because you start becoming a different person when you recognize your trauma, you start to recognize your thought process, you become more mindful, and your perspective changes as well. Eventually you'll let go of the emotional weight that impacts you, but you won't forget. instead you'll be left with what you have learned from that experience. Philosopher Humes pointed out that our perspectives are based off of our experiences. Trauma is an experience. It will change your perspective. BUT dont let it hold you stagnant! All of this is easier said than done. Best luck to everyone healing trauma.
