I like the theory that I’m seeing that the thing that changed the direction of Kingdom Hearts was the cancellation of the Verum Rex game (and/or the FF Vs. XIII) OR it was the confirmation that another studio would be picking up the story through Reynatis being the story Nomura wants to tell.

Im convinced that after working with Frozen team they decided to Dev filibuster until certain individuals leave certain creative teams. God only knows what certain people who subject Sora too not to mention the devs themselves. And how it would take away from other worlds development.

Final Fantasy has had so many more entries and much more fame than KH, particularly FF7. I think Kingdom Hearts deserves more love and attention for once. It's kind of unfair to expect fans to wait THIS long with not a single speck of new info or reassurance that the franchise is still on track.

Y'all lookin' forward to KH4 way too early. I think they probably announced it early just to have something exciting to reveal for the anniversary. They probably haven't started thinking about that game yet.

what do you mean longest span between major releases kh 2 to kh 3 was the longest span the fact kh4 was announced at all and is probably coming out in the next few years makes it a farily reasonable releases time especially in this current era of gaming

I feel we’re getting a big update dump on KH4 throughout the year. Several world reveals, story trailer, gameplay trailer, Nomura interviews, and a more solid release window. Since they’ve been so silent we can only assume they are working hard and made huge progress. We have seen 2 worlds and know of 3 already.
