It just occurred to me that I watched Star, the keyboard player from Ozma, play "Blizzard of '77" outside the Nick in Birmingham, AL for a few folks to pass the time back in 2006 or so. Now Daniel Brummel, the bassist for Ozma, is Nada Surf's touring bassist. Probably means nothing to most, but it completes a cool little circuit in my quirky brain.

I was at this show. It was actually February of 2007, not 2006. I'll never forget it. My buddy and I got hammered at The Frolic Room after the show, then got busted for jaywalking across Hollywood Blvd by the CHP. We almost got arrested, but escaped with fines of $135.
