@mattabel9066

Congratulations. You just gave birth to a bouncing baby tree.

I once had a splinter go in under my nail to past my first knuckle. It was barely under an inch

@professionallyreal

Cuticle cutters are a great way to get a grip on something if you have the control - they can both cut and clamp with great precision. Beautiful removal.

@Ash_G

I had a way tinier splinter lodged between my nail and the skin beside it. Impossible to remove. It hurt like hell. After a week, the tissue around it became white and chipped away. New skin grew back behind the shed off block of dead skin. The tiny splinter was still inside the block of dead white skin.

Fascinating how the body deals with bad things and heals. No doctors. No surgery & complications. Zero expenses. Just 1 week of pain in the tip of my middle finger.

@hannaha4631

...I was not expecting the cuticle clippers to manage that without accidentally clipping the splinter.

@etmax1

I got a splinter about 3mm diameter and 15mm long in the back (non palm side) of my index finger and it was extremely painful. I went to the hospital emergency room and they only bandaged it. A day later it had swollen so much that I couldn't bend my finger. I went back to emergency and they gave me antibiotics. The next day it was even more swollen and I realised that the splinter/twig was still in there and I pulled out a bit of it. The next day the swelling was less and there was a transparent scab over the hole where I could still see a bit of twig moving so I cut it and got the last piece out. The pain subsided almost immediately and the an hour later the swelling was completely gone. The plant was oleander which is quite toxic which probably didn't help. So much for emergency doctors.

@glendoucette624

the instant that splinter was removed imagine how good that felt

@sherrywilemon5011

That's no splinter, that's the whole tree! I bet that poor person felt instant relief! If that were my hand I would of cleaned it with alcohol then iodine then antibiotic cream and a bandage.

@WiThin_Reason

That had to hurt like hell πŸ˜…

@samgraham6628

This looks more like a thorn or needle if you will. Here in Texas they can be twice that size or more (length and width) from a mesquite tree. Yes, that lovely wood that is so awesome to cook with and flavor meats with can also pop car tires! They have wicked thorns. As do many other plants here!

These videos are so satisfying to watch. Make want to have been a dermatologist

30 odd years ago, I brushed up against some lumber and got a big splinter in my shin. I got it out, and it was big. about a month later, I developed what I'll call a small cyst near that spot. I picked at it, and pulled out a piece of wood the size of a match stick. The location was about 6 inches above where the splinter was. It never hurt or was irritating in the least, which was weird considering how big it was.

@Mynamedagoat

Him:”look at how big that is”

Me:”that’s what she saidπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β€

@marcossuarez5622

What to do after? How to clean/treat the wound?

@anonymousheart3827

FINALLY CONTENT THAT DELIVERS

@jeffgab590

That’s not a splinter. That is the arrow of a lost tiny human tribe. Stay away from their cookies!
