"CP Violation" 😭💀
The contrast between how NDT explained things and how the physicist explained things shows exactly why science communicators are both necessary and important.
For some weird reason, after Harry's deep thinking response, I can only see Philomena Cunk ask, straight face, something like: So, Harry, can I use some of these corks for my wine collection?
HANK! HANK, DON’T ABBREVIATE CHARGED PARITY! HAAAANK!!!
"CP Violation" means something horribly different in the legal world.
"CP violation." 😱💀
I don’t think I’ll ever understand any of this, but it’s absolutely fascinating.
Symmetries are very important & exist everywhere, however something is violating our understanding of how things should work & it really shows we still have a long way to go to understand our universe. If we every will, fully!
“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.” - Douglas Adams

Thank you to that little matter that could!
I remember hearing how there's a possibility that the anti-matter didn't actually get obliterated. To sum it up: just because our galaxy is made of matter doesn't mean all galaxies are.
I’m am so sorry if I seem to be over analyzing but I don’t understand fully I guess what the matter/anti matter collisions. So basically from what I understand the one out of 100 million particles of matter out numbered the anti matter particles and basically there was a more MASSIVE amount of matter particles enough to create all the galaxies, interstellar molecular clouds and stars/planets formed inside. I’m confused on how much more matter there was compared to anti matter… like I’m guessing it’s obviously what we see but is that the just of it or am I missing something?
I suddenly feel as if I am the dumbest person in the room.
Unrelated but I love Neil’s fashion choices 😃❤️
I love these guys. Neil has taught me so much.
i love scientists and astrophysicists so much there is always something to learn and there will always be more. it's very fulfilling to me
Don't watch this after 1 1/2 hours sleep. Small tip
All the matter in the universe is made up of the particles that couldn't find a dance partner in the initial matter/antimatter collisions. <<Remembering middle school, junior, and senior prom>> FOR BEHOLD, I AM THE PRIMORDIAL STUFF OF CREATION!
