I think the Smaug’s lair from the Hobbit or the Mines of Moria or the Balrog fight could make really cool ones. Or maybe a full-on Battle of Five Armies one. (Not certain if I got the place names right, I’ve only read each book once, and not for a while.

$270 is definitely steep for this. Would have been better in the low $200s with the birthday stuff as a separate set or gwp. I would love to see a full microscale Rivendell kind of like the Hogwarts set or one of the many castles. I prefer those over partial playset versions.
