@MetalJesusRocks

It was fun introducing classic Atari games to my nephew Will & his fiancé Nicole. It's wild for me to think they had NEVER picked up a real Atari joystick or played any of the games!! As you'll see in the video, they loved them!

@heinzpilot

I own both of these systems and love them both for different reasons. I have been rebuilding my physical Atari 2600 and 7800 games since getting this 2600 Plus

@Gunnumn

This video gave me an idea. You should have an annual gaming triathlon where you have gamers young and old utilizing retro and modern games through the decades to see who is the best. The winner gets awarded an actual metal jesus (kinda like an oscar or a grammy).

@petes9845

Props to your nephew for wearing a Rush shirt.

@Cyko..

This would make my gaming collection life complete. My mom bought the original when it first came out. To see this in a slightly smaller form factor with HDMI out and can use the same cartridges I've had for decades is unbelievable.

@michaelbotting806

One thing to bear in mind - they only tested NTSC cartridges for the compatibility list. Being in Australia I have a number of Atari 7800 PAL games that do not work on the 2600+. Even though they are listed as PASS on the compatibility list. Food Fight, Crossbow, Choplifter, Xevious, Joust & Ms PAC-Man for the 7800 all failed on my 2600+

@playedout148

Atari. Back when video games weren't 29 hour movies. Retro gaming is nice because you don't need to have hours set aside. Your can play for 30 mins and have fun.

@n0les443

always a good day when we get another metal jesus video

@charlesrouse1438

I had a Colecovison with the 2600 module. I think it is time to get the 2600+ and pick up some of my favorite titles. I fondly remember Pitfall, Missile Command, Frogger, and Crackpots to name a few.

@Real_Sgt_Tom

Warlords was one of my favs growing up. So good to see the younger generation enjoying our classics today!

@JakeM-dd2tw

Will & Nicole seem like top people - great additions to the Metal Jesus crew ☮️

@Nayfin_Smiff

Will and Nicole becoming bonafide side characters in the MJU.

@Zwangsdemokrat

Seeing those two in your videos is always fun. Looks like you were having a great time!

@justonemori

I love the cartridge slot on the 2600+. There is a great visceral feel and satisfaction with using my original cartridges. The controllers are fully faithful to the originals. It would be nice to access Stella Options but I can live without it. I don't mind the lack of save states because the games are simple. It has a better quality output than my A/V modded 2600 Woody with a retrotink upscaler on a modern TV. Well worth it a lifelong Atari Fan. The Gamestation looks interesting but I think it's going down in Atari history as a step above the @games systems, nothing worth getting too excited about. What Atari needs to do is make a new 7800 controller for use with the 2600+.

@Cynbel_Terreus

I feel like you should have mentioned that the Gamestation Pro supports third party controllers, and can play GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, and Genesis games and probably others. (Genesis would be best with a third party controller) Also that it came with 2 controllers while the Atari 2600+ only comes with 1, so you have to buy a second controller and the paddle controllers are also separate (though they come in a pack of 2 with a 4-in-1 cart)

@TampaTec

I bought a broken Atari 2600 and fixed it, then was addicted collecting games. Something about popping in and out games and using those controllers, is nostalgia. I like that fall game and wall jump game. Is that only on 10-1 cartridge, not sold alone in stores?

@RetroGamePlayers

So crazy that they included MAME support!

@lumberjakk89

The input lag is most likely coming from your modern TV rather than the emulator itself. Make sure you have the TV in game mode in order to reduce the input lag.

@judsongaiden9878

Bring back wood trim! Put it on everything! That 1970s station wagon look is timeless!

2:58 Even the joystick should have wood trim!

6:18 / 16:27 Joust and Berzerk are muh fave Atari games. Dig Dug is kinda mean-spirited when you think about it.

6:19 Wood trim on a controller! Gucci to the max!

7:34 What do Bruce Campbell and Jack Black have in common? Pitfall.

8:50 Berzerk! Not only is it a good game, but the box art is just perfect.

10:04 Chrome and black is cool and "urbane." Wood trim is warm and rustic.

11:19 / 12:57 Dogwai and fluff-woof!

@GamingintoEternity

Good video brother! I still have my OG Atari 2600 from when I was a kid. Would love to see you do a video on hooking up the OG console to a modern tv.
