They need to take in consideration how everything is so expensive and the tariffs haven't even hit yet! Can't compare to 6 months ago!

@militarypsychologist7255

30 credit hours a semester is not realistic. Under this plan only upper middle and high income students will be able to attend college. $150,000 student loan limit for a professional degree is also unrealistic. Even with the GI Bill and a military health professions scholarship I still accumulated over $200,000 in debt to obtain an undergraduate and doctoral degree. Notably, this is the same degree I utilized while treating service members for mental health conditions for 22 years. Ultimately, these changes will further limit people from advancing themselves occupationally and financially potentially making them an additional tax payer burden; the plan is short sighted and will further increase the wealth and equality gap. Make America Great Again- for wealthy people.

@stevenhenry5267

This is trying to usher in a class based education system. Repugnant.

@SwirlScapeOnEtsy

Just give these loans their bankruptcy rights back already. Insolvent people can't pay no matter what your "plan" is, they have no money.

@user-BMF1966

If a working person with no college degree could fit the average student loan payment into their budget, why can't you??? After all, YOU have the precious degree.

@johnl5316

The gov should NOT underwrite university level education. The COLLEGE should do it if any entity does. Is their product WORTH anything?

@johnl5316

FEWER options; not LESS options

@cynthiahunt3831

Need to have illegal and fraud pay back. Non-us students get free college but US students have to fight tooth and nail to get Any help!!°

@Tintdee

It calculates payments based on income and family size, often reducing payments to $0 for low-income borrowers. It lowered undergraduate loan payments to 5% of discretionary income (from 10%) and offered forgiveness after 10–25 years, depending on loan balance. Interest accrual was waived to prevent balance growth.
Of course they wont tell you that part.

@user-BMF1966

Pay your loan off. That's the option.

@Ap9872

If only they had the last 5 years of forbearance. Oh wait.
