Minneapolitan here. Less than 30 seconds in and he’s already gotten the population of Minneapolis wrong. This video was obviously horribly researched, not to mention biased. Also, the cities are a great place to live.
It's no worse than any other large population center. We just have a more severe contrast between metro and rural. The idea that the cities is more dangerous than Sioux Falls or Omaha is inherently racist and generally hurtful. As a relative local I ask that you please reconsider this video.
Just coming to the comments because there's no way you got enough of this correct to avoid being skewered by Minnesotans. Good luck!
I have never heard the 1770’s Battle of St Croix Falls been called the “Battle of the Dalles”
When are people going to stop using city limit population and start using metro area pop?
Im an Aussie. I visited the states in August. I had no problems what so ever in the twin cities. I did however have a fairly rough time in Chicago. Last time I was in the States I saw a man stabbed on East Illinois street near Navy Pier in the middle of the day. Ive been over to the states a few times, Chicago isnt on my list for going to again.
I live here. The jungle of crime reputation this place has is overblown. It's actually pretty idyllic (and I live in downtown Minneapolis).
Imagine being scared of Minneapolis 🤡
And you fail to mention all the suburbs in conjunction with those 2 cities and a metro area with a total population of 2.5+ million. But the crime level is overblown especially in the recent political environment.
The biggest criminals in the Twin Cities is the police department.
What’s with the random hit piece lol.

Finally an honest and realistic travel guide.
Mmmmmm i WONDER WHAT EFFING HAPPENED HERE. Maybe we should police crimes. Ffs, lived here all 37 years of my life, this is new.
Ahh no chat of MN state fair that draws millions and goes off without a hitch just want to h8
When it comes to corruption, Chicago has always been in a class by itself.
Take St Paul out of the title. Clearly no research was done, first, we were first, second, we were not called St Paul at the start, which should of been the first weird factoid. Third, we had our own businesses. Fourth, the criminals needed to pay at the Green Lantern and it went into the "retirement fund". Next, John Dillinger was shot here. I hate when people think we are the same town. You live in St Paul and play in Mpls.
One aspect that wasn't talked about is that in the mid 90s Illinois made new rules for welfare and it was tougher to get and it wasn't very generous. There was a mass exodus to Minnesota who was very generous with our welfare system and easily got
"Quiet crime Capitals?" Oh come on. Minneapolis is a beautiful Midwestern city with a vibrant economy, world class museums and theater, and some of the best parks and bike trails in the nation. All cities have crime, and just like every other city, some neighborhoods in Minneapolis & St. Paul are better than others. Outside of the section on mills, this video does little to educate viewers about the history and contemporary life of the twin cities. It paints it as a corrupt, crime-infested wasteland the same way that conservative media has demonized cities and urbanites for decades. Do better.
