53 years ago I suffered a near fatal accident while in the US Air Force. I had a left fronto-temporal sub-dural hematoma. Four holes were drilled in my head to relieve the blood clot. I was unconscious for 2½ weeks and unconscious for 4½ weeks. I was in the hospital for 10 months. I lost 23 IQ points, from 146 to 123. Had to re-learn virtually everything. It took me many years to recovery my memory. The only thing I have never remembered is how the accident happened.
