Hi Justin! Profoundly grateful for this. You are an amazing interviewer. I, ve gleaned so much from this clip. As advanced intermediate, or so Mr EGO thinks, I, ve been applying many things discussed by default. My latest strategy: play a melody that naturally sticks in my head, wouldn't go Away and attempt to replicate on guitar. Thereafter comes the aha moments realizing eg I was using part of a Diminished chord etc to accomplish nuances of singer. I find this most effective. I soaked in a lot of theory initially. Big sceptic of those who say theory comes later. Warm regards.
