I am in IT with 13 years experience and I hope to have another 10 more. Right now it is bad to be in IT as most companies are reducing their head count expecting AI to do major portion of work in next 1-2years. AI will not replace jobs in future, it is already happening!! So before a team of 20 were in a project, companies are employing only 7-10 people no. If you are joining IT now, ensure that you save 60-70% of salary, build an awesome network via LinkedIn or some groups. Not to scare people but SE jobs will only exist for top 10% in future.
