I wonder if this was partial inspiration for the “hell valley sky trees” from Super Mario Galaxy?
This is just the average California resident
When the Hell Valley Sky Trees from Mario Galaxy need a vacation.
They are ones I have not heard much about. I am unclear how easy it would be to find/aford but I believe if you can listen for hours while doing other stuff that there are 2 podcast/radio programs of old for you to look into. Coast to Coast with Art Bell: This was around in the 90's and I believe still is with other hosts... George Nory was the last name I remember. Point is it was an over night talk show with guests about many fringe things like conspiracy theories and accounts of the super natural. I mention them because they might have had guests accounting things you might want to talk about and had some break music that I cannot find anywhere. I know of a group called Zager and Evans from the 50's I believe from those songs (Year 2525 is the song if your interested). They have an incredibly elusive song version that has a special alternate opening to the song Crazy Train I believe (the one thing I cannot find anywhere). Point is they were around when I was a kid in the early to mid 90's and had many ghosts and ghouls stories of weird sightings and strange accounts. Even a couple people that talked about the future before it became the present and was clearly not the same. Their Archives in other words would be a treasure trove of things to inspire videos and such. The Dallop: They talk about strange history trivia for an hour or 2 at a time going over figures of American folklore and history as well as other things. Personal favorite episodes covered people like American badasses like Calamity Jane and "The Rube" and "An American soldier from the times of the British and french involved wars way back when..." that last guy is why I mentioned Badass at the beginning vs Awesome individuals as more applies to the other guys. That gentlemen... Whitmore I think; he was a total maniac of a soldier. He won multiple dueling pistols from duels and battlefields along with being a one man army with a saber. He took on a group of red coats without knowing the war had started with the Brits on principle that an armed group dare enter his lands as if they owned the joint. Using 2 dueling pistols (match lock single shots) and a repeater rifle along with his trusty saber at the age of 85 fired from a tree a couple shots before dropping down and charging the group of armed soldiers. firing off both pistols and going in swinging with his saber he took out 13 people and scared off the rest before dying of old age later on in the year. I may not remember his name clearly and exaggerated a small amount but that was mostly true to what was said. That is not even the full back story. Calamity Jane if I am remembering the correct Female cowboy name right... anyhow she was a beast of a woman; her story sounds about as real as Paul Bunion; but it is Awesome indeed; she was a black woman that actually managed to gain respect from her actions despite being before abe. She was the most badass carrier of mail out there, able to fight off a pack of wolves and trudge into town miles away in order to never be late... well almost never I think the wolves did cause her to be late but she still fought them off with no real weapons or at least inadequate ammo. The wolves had killed her mount leaving the wagon stuck in the woods; so by foot she had to fight the pack and make it to town. She also had an unbroken arm wrestling record that she won money from on the regular. mouth like a sailor and heart of a saint... something like that could describe her in general. The Rube was from the era of baseball that the trophy for Sai young or what ever its called that player its named after was from. Guy was 8 parts idiot and 2 parts savant... that is to say that baseball was all he good at in general. Only cheating and ill timed events could cause him to not strike players out. Events such as hearing a fire siren... where he'd ALWAYS DROP EVERYTHING to pursue the truck and if he got there in time help out with saving people or putting out the fire. Events like audience members holding up kittens or puppies and he'd be stunned by how much he wanted to pet them and such. Cheating like I just mentioned or people holding up shiny objects so he became focused on that stuff... or just him not being in the mood. Heart of gold but attitude of a diva. He rescued his short term wife to be by jumping in a cold river to save her from drowning; he also would do random shit like act like a bar tender just before games and dressing as he walked out on the field. He was passed around an incredible amount of times; but when he was in the zone then... like that time the manager promised him a paid vacay of fishing; he dusted the opposition by pitching 27 strikes in a row cleaning out 3 teams non stop allowing his team to clobber those opponents. He was discovered by a person seeing him pitch rocks and killing birds mid flight with his insane pitching skills. Those were not there full stories mind just what my memory recorded but still with awesome people like that being talked about I am sure you'd like the dallop. Its a pod cast.
