I like how kind and considerate you are when you talk about things Xx

A tip with the heat packs for people with endo or chronic pain like me. You can get electric heat packs with a timer. You can set the timer, fall asleep, and your heat pack will automatically turn off
The only DIY skin care I do for my rosacea when I experience some redness (recommended by my dermatologist) is cold chamomile tea, and it really works!
I have to tell you - I not only love your Prequel products, but your packaging is outstanding. I will never throw my Universal Skin Solution bottle away. It sprays the finest mist that I have ever felt. I will keep it and put an essence in it. I have tried essences in other spray bottles and it feels like I am being assaulted by a Super Soaker. Thank you for paying attention to the details!
Thanks for acknowledging that cosmetic chemists are the experts for certain aspects of skincare, it shows humility.
Oh my! When I had bad acne as a teen. We were told to scrub, scrub, scrub our faces. In fact, we were told to use a Buff Puff to scrub our faces at least twice a day. I remember how sore my face was. I am sure that it only made my acne worse and compromised my skin barrier. I was made to feel as if my acne was caused by me being dirty. Nobody took better care of their skin (at least with the products that we had and how we were told to use them). It was not until I was an adult and Retin A came along that I was actually helped. The dermatologist told me that I didn't need to be so aggressive with skin care. Just wash gently and use the Retin A. I will forever be thankful for that.
it’s hard to find a cosmetic dermatologist with well rounded experience like you describe. :( thank you for another great video.
love how you balance principle with practicality. eg saving sun moments for things you love
I need to know what’s on your eyelids?! So beautiful!!
Love these tips so much, however I do have a sensitive topic question… So, I’ve never met any woman who only used warm water to cleanse their vulva. 🤷🏻♀️ To me, that sounds like a rinse & not an actual cleanse. Could this be why so many women are self conscious of their natural scent, because they’re rinsing & not using a gentle cleanser? The vagina is self cleansing, but the vulva is not and it consists of sweat glands, hair that can retain order, labia folds, & so on. I’m just curious about why cleansing is not the base line recommendation. Thank you! I love your educational videos so much & appreciate all this free information from a certified derm. 🫶🏼
In defense of powdered sunscreen, I use it to blot oil because most sunscreen is notoriously shiny. I also use it for a no hands option when I would otherwise just not reapply at all. So it's either the powder or zero sunscreen reapplication. I don't expect it to be as effective as my base sunscreen but it's better than nothing.
Thank you for all of this information Dr Sam 🙏 I found you during the pandemic and have watched hours and hours of your tutorials. At 48 I finally knew what to do to care for my skin. I had previously spent a lot of money on random skincare... But now I carefully select items that improve my skin without wasting my money. I cannot express fully how empowering this is after a lifetime of falling prey to marketing. My skin has never looked better ❤ thank you
Oh my god Currently I am suffering from back pain right now and have been sleeping on heating pad for a few days. And indeed I can see burned patches on my skin. Thank you
I used benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment so that was god to find out. I stopped doing that when I bought the Vichy sulphur spot treatment - this product is incredible
I love how well-spoken you are. Intelligent, clear, and thorough. Thank you!💕
IPL for brown spots worked to remove my brown spots but also resulted in facial hair growth everywhere, including my entire forehead. The plastic surgeon who performed the IPL told me that the heat and light from IPL can, in some cases, cause unwanted hair growth, especially in Hispanics. I then had to spend thousands to have the hair removed with a different laser. I was not warned beforehand that this could be a side effect of IPL.
The mistake #4 is made by most of dermatologists i visited in past for my acne treatments, thanks to social media derms i learnt alot as how to take care of my acne prone skin, i do have acne scars due to cystic acne but I'm not losing hope. Also I started using sufficient quantity of sunscreen in oct/nov 2023 after watching your video. I used to lay down under sun in peak hours during winter vacations which i regret but lesson learnt
Please do a clear + brilliant procedure video.
