I resonate so much with what he says about the name. I’ve never associated with the first name I was given or my last name. My mother always said I chose my middle name in the womb, saying I kicked so much when she spoke it out loud and that’s why she gave it to me but as a middle name. It’s what I prefer and what I always wanted people to call me. I never go by my first name and want to change it legally as well as my last name. I had always had to this dream of this particular name as a child that I thought was my last name. I was even told that this was a past life name. While doing some research into family history, lost deep down generations, I found this last name and thought wow, this is my name. I plan on legally changing both mine and my son’s last name as soon as I can. My son has also never had a true last name he says and this is our way of completing and making our own mark into the world. I may be in my 40s but I finally feel like I know who I am now.
