Funny thing about the matrix. The greenish final look is a mistake that happened during the HD remaster. The original theater release and the new 4k one have a much more subtle green look and it's not in your face like the HD remaster.

@mrKWJones

Literally, you are the only content creator on YouTube that I cant wait to see your next stuff

@FivosVas

An issue with colors , is that you really need to try hard to not make is look sourcy and unmotivated. That gym scene with the red line on the eyes of the character is what i'm talking about. I've been struggling alot with this and i look back on my older work and i see it everywhere

@zacharyhiebertproductions

Love your vids! The main shot you talk in is such a great example of both light and colour contrast

@Shelbygc_

Sometimes life is unfair, you deserves a lot of more subs in this channel mate. Thank you for all this information, I'm learning more than I expected. Keep doing like this!

@ohgeezus_

Always cooking up some fire content 🫡

@FilmedallbyTMB

I really appreciate your channel man, this video has changed my perspective in colors as a filmmaker, good video and explanation by the way

@starboy001

i was literally hunting for this type of video on lighting n colour. Thank you a lot. hoping my thanks gets to you.🙏🏿

@Alec15

Finally a nice in depth tutorial! I have the feeling that on Yt only the basics are explained not like in dept like this. 👍

@cliftonsledge962

Excellent brake down, the color scheme of the Matrix kept my eyes glued to the screen. With your short movie you used the same techniques and it works. The proof is in the pudding, thanks for everything Alex 🙏🏾

@imagury

For example, in Insidious (2010), you can really see how the desaturated color scheme in the majority of the movie really gives off that sad and melancholic feeling, and it's a pretty great example of using desaturated colors, in my opinion.

@BourgeFilms

You are the best cinematography teacher I’ve had! This is a great lesson. Thank you!

@TyrellGreenlee

Don’t know where you came from but your content is the icing on the cake for my new featured film

@FaDookieTv

Sick video!!! Joker has my heart!

@brianonley

Most excellent topic and coverage. Thanks Alex :) I 100% believe in saturation depending on the full scheme. If it's blue, dammit, I want BLUE :)
