Guys, I suspect that many YouTubers are heavily paid by Royal Enfield to promote the Classic 650. I’ve experienced it firsthand, and I can say it’s not worth the hype. The bike is heavy, especially for a 650cc engine. The seat height is supposedly 800mm, but don’t be fooled by that. You need to consider the seat width as well, not just the height. It’s a heavy machine with more width, which means you can’t plant both feet flat on the ground properly, even if you’re 5'8" or 5'9". The ground clearance is low, and the center of gravity is poorly balanced, making the bike feel top-heavy, even with the low ground clearance.

This issue seems to stem from the design—they could have redesigned the entire Classic 650 chassis. Instead, they appear to have cut costs in R&D, using a shotgun frame chassis on an iconic design, which has ruined the rear aesthetics. Compare it to the Classic 350, and you'll see how well-proportioned and retro the rear seat looks, offering comfort as well. The Classic 650 feels awkward and lacks proper proportions. What they’ve done doesn’t seem like creative redesigning—it just feels like they swapped one chassis for another, which is a disaster.

The main problem is that it’s too heavy and wide, so don’t expect the Classic 350’s comfort in traffic. If you’re over 6 feet tall and have a heavier build, maybe it’ll work for you, but for most others, it’s a daily headache. It’s disappointing that Royal Enfield has taken the classic look and ruined it with bad design choices. The bike looks retro from the front, but modern and contemporary from the back. What kind of nonsense is this, Royal Enfield? Don’t ruin the iconic design of the original Classic 350 and 500 by using a modern chassis.
