Who’s faster? A russian SU or a UFO? This movie: yes
Some say Newton rose from his grave when this movie released.
Movie logic : main character vehicle, gets hit by many bullets doesn't explode. Enemy vehicle gets hit by 1 bullet EXPLODES.
I know it's just a movie and as a jet fighter nerd I can enjoy it for what it is, but honestly, our "hero" should have his wings stripped from him effective immediately. That jet he's flying is, like, 7th generation technology or something? Against a 4++ gen fighter and he's having so much difficulty he actually gets SHOT?? The mere fact that Sukhoi made it to the merge means our hero failed in his primary mission - to remain stealthy. It's almost like watching an F-18 get into a dogfight with a biplane and the F-18 pilot "has his hands full!" Ridiculous.
Seeing people make Ace Combat references fills me with such joy!
Belkan Technology at it’s finest
The CGI holds up extremely well for a movie that was made 15 years ago
Come watch Stealth! We have: -Bad aviation science! -Good CGI for 2005! -9/11 paranoia! -Ace Combat fans! -Tajikistans, Russians, and North Koreans!
0:28 - well, he just took about 300G load, and is dead.
A very interesting thing is that those Sukhoi planes only have a magazine of about 150 rounds for the 30mm autocannon, so they won't just spray it around hoping to hit something like in the movie. How it works is the pilot holds the trigger down while the onboard computers will calculate where the enemy plane is with the radar, when the pilot points the plane in the right direction the plane decides when to let loose with the bullets in a volley of just a few rounds. This keeps it from depleting it's ammo in one trigger pull and makes it to where the plane will never miss. Also, a single 30mm round will destroy even the largest planes out there
What it looks like when you're fighting an enemy Su 47 on hard mode with your unupgraded Su 37 in Ace Combat 7:
In a moment of silence on those brave Russian pilots who are attempting to defend their airspace against an future capitalist jet fighter...
Poor Russian pilots , died defending theyr homelands air space against unidentified hostile invaders.
"The chances of survival in single combat are less than 9%" bruh you're in some like 6th gen stealth fighter against a 4th gen russian jet
CGI : 10/10 Logic : 5/10
All four pilots would be unconscious within the first 30s of the engagement. This movie gives Michael Bay a good name.
I'm looking at the Talon, and DAMN does it remind me of a Wyvern. And let's be honest, this is the closest thing we're gonna get to an Ace Combat movie. We got cool plane sequences, resistance to the laws of physics, superplanes, and a rogue AI. All that's missing is a giant superweapon that the main character has to blow up.
Fighting Mihaly in Ace Combat 7 be like
* Main character's jet *: * took some bullets hit * "Losing power" * Enemy jets : * took 1 boolet * EXPLODE
