He didn't get humbled; he knew she was good and wanted her to copilot with him. He put her on the spot so her adopted father (the guy shes standing by) would give her a chance and it ended up working..eventually

Pacific Rim is pretty sweet It's a complete story and doesn't need a sequel but if it ever got one, I'd hope it'd kick ass just like the first one 😅

Pacific Rim was a great movie. Never watched the sequel entirely because almost no one from the original returned. If I ever find it streaming for free somewhere, I may give it a shot, but I've also heard some pretty bad reviews on it, so I'm in no hurry given how much I enjoyed the original.

I remember being a 14yr old boy, we went to go see this after making the 3hr trip to go into the city for the weekend We stayed at a nice hotel We spent a whole day at the cabella’s, buying new hunting and fishing gear We went for a walk around the city, then we got pizza It was the perfect day Till We went to the movies last minute I didn’t even know about this movie But geez Watching that movie with my dad, it was awesome, I was ready to sign up right then and there! 😂

I loved watching this movie the first time but this scene is why I keep rewatching it. I feel like they could have made half the movie about these two inspiring each other with the chemistry them seemed to have.
