I wonder how it would taste wit some tofu or veggie chorizo or veggie chickn? For the seafood flavor what about the seaweed flakes nori fukake? Just some ideas if one wanted a veggie โpaellaโ with โseafoodโ Anyway sounds like a great dish! Thanks for the video!!!
PEALLA: The Original Dish originated in Spain and its main Ingredients were focused around RABBIT and LIMA BEANS. It strictly does NOT have Onions and DOES NOT have Carrots, Mushrooms, Peas, or Chorizo in its ingredients. The Rice is known for its crispy layer in the bottom of the pan although I don't believe it was intended to be served burnt. A Garlic Clove equals 1 bloom from the Whole Garlic Flower, so 2 would be 2 blooms like what you normally peel is a single Garlic Bloom. Anyway, this is according to the strict definition of the term Paella and the more common European countries who made it from the Spanish traditional versions. Of course it would have been commonplace for Americans to change it up a tad or considerably depending on regional tastes. That's pretty much true with all recipes after WW1 and especially true after WW2. Adapting and Blending Into the local Culture was embraced and expected back in those times. No doubt the Cookbook reflects some of that thinking in its recipes ๐.
