Tip: Don't use all of these. Longer is not always better. An acadenic essay should be straight to the poin and engaging. Hope this helps
“I like you” ❌ ”I along the lines of you” ✅
even though it lengthens your essay, it makes the actual essay topic lose its prominence and is just confusing at times.
Many teachers dislike it when you're overly wordy. I'm in high school and all of my teachers prefer quality and clarity over quantity. Be careful if you do this-you could end up losing points.
My advice for essays is 1. Explain everything like you would to someone who doesn’t know ANYTHING 2. Do NOT add ANYTHING that doesn’t NEED to be there(refer to rule one for the needs) 3. Use professional language, Not fancy fluffy language, and Not street language, people need to be able to understand your essay 4. Understand your own personal writing style, for example, I tend to have a touch more casual writing style and often put in small plays on words or even an occasional joke to help remind my reader of my own humanity. Hope this helps!!😅
Thank you so much for showing me this when I’m done with leap test and 4 mores day of school left 😁😁😁
Former college writing instructor here: don't do this. You usually get graded on the strength of your argument, your ideas, your structure, etc. Fluff doesn't mask a lack of those things if they're missing. Most of the time I took off few or no points for the length: the issue was the lack of the things I mentioned above. If an essay did a good job but was short, I didn't really care. But length minimums are usuallycreated to give an idea of how much you need to write to assignment thoroughly and effectively.
The point is to teach a topic, longer doesn't make things better, it docks points because its harder to read
I m watching this video for the exact purpose of writing in tomorrow's exam. This actively demonstrates that I am working hard for my exam. To sum up everything that has been stated so far, it helped me.
I was the KING of milking essays in high school. We would have to type out an essay that was 2 1/2 pages long, and I would always change "I'm" to "I am", or "it's" to "it is". I would also change the text size as well, just to make it longer😂
Y’all, sometimes it’s not the quantity, it’s the ✨Quality✨
My ‘actively demonstrates that’ of transportation, a Lamborghini convinces a lot of girls to ‘along the lines of’ me ‘for the exact purpose’ of taking my money
I'm a writing consultant at my university, and this is what I would suggest if you need to make an essay longer. First, ensure that you've successfully completed all parts of the rubric. Answer all questions and tie up loose ends. Then read through and see if there's anything you could clarify or expand upon. Many people find it useful to have someone else read through the essay for this step, since you know what you're saying, but other people may not. This clarifying process won't always be whole extra sentences added at once; you can find places where just adding a couple of words and rearranging the phrase not only makes the sentence easier to understand and more professional, but that also lengthens it a little bit, which adds up when you have a decent number of sentences you do this for. Why not just use the trick here? It's very wordy, it decreases the clarity and natural flow of your essay, and it exaggerates repetition (you don't typically realize how often a person has said because, but you will absolutely remember how many times they say 'the particular reason for the circumstance'). Trust me when I say that despite hitting the page or word count after those, you probably won't get the shining grade you're after.
Thank you, this helped so much
Let me be honest, I searched this up so I could see what to do💀🤣
I can't ❌️ I cannot ❌️ I am unable to can ❎️ I am completely unable to can in whatsoever circumstances that may follow ✅️
I wish I saw this video when we had to write a 1000 word essay in 2 days💀💀💀
This is reinforcing quantity and not quality. It is also creating a gateway to laziness.
It would be much better if I knew this when I was writing 10 pages of physics essay....
