@FiatSceptic

Love the content, very unique and high quality, please keep it up!

@StuffBudDuz

I recommend no digital copy other than a hardware wallet. Personally, I'd never store a seed phrase, encrypted or not, in the cloud or on any device other than a HW wallet. I recommend metal copies in two physically distinct locations, preferably involving fire safes. I recommend memorizing your seed phrase, and testing yourself periodically to make sure you still have it properly memorized. Critically, let your heir(s) know how to access the physical locations in the event you are struck by a meteorite.

@meygavox

Thanks a lot. Very interresting video :)

@nikhilkalra1530

I like the idea of 3 2 1 strategy. One thing to mention, there is another way of encrypting in macOS instead of using OpenSSL commands, using disk utility and create a .DMG/Image file from a folder. Same results, just another way of doing it.
I would also add to the list sort of like a mind map or a flow chart, if you will. Like in case of inheritance or something like that to instruct someone first do this, then that so on and so forth...

@MYYTVI

BAD ADVICE: Never Enter Your Seed on a Computer. The second you do, it becomes a hot wallet. Once it is hot, it will never become cold storage again.

@got_it_wrong

Great thought provoker. But I just can’t bring myself to put my seeds on any online format. My concern is quantum computing in the not too distant future. That said, unless that threat has been addressed all seeds will be at risk, regardless. Thanks for the great content.

@geedee3817

I always wonder how there are so few commenters on these highly valuable videos you produce. I mean this is all about making our self custody as safe as possible. One reason might be it's just a bit too complex for most people? And I am not excluding myself here. But I know I can grasp it if I really put my mind to it and practice step by step. It's worth the effort!

@jordanrox007

Never type your cold seed phrase into a general purpose computer if you want to keep it for a long time. The attack surface is just way to high and the average person cannot verify they have eliminated all the potential attacks. Seed phrases that are apart of a multisig I feel could be backed using e2e cloud storage.

@TheColonelJJ

I'd love to see this on a WIn machine.

@meygavox

Stupid question: what tool do you use on your Mac to "write on your screen" (the rose lines)? I like how the line fade out nicely.

@my.luminaire

Love the 'chetnik' style πŸ’€πŸ˜† let that hair grow

@relbik66

Also surprised no comment on multisig or services like Unchained or Casa?

@FastonLinper

Government is the issue they can basically force u to give passwords by law and this setup provides no plausible deniability

@gkonstan

There are easier ways to encrypt files than that. Also should use offline computer only for encryption. Putting it on the cloud is regarded. You didn't mention that the password needs to be super long to prevent brute force attacks.
Overall this is a good way to get your coins stolen.

@russkatt85

Thank you, but I am done with all the worry. Just buy IBIT.
