Damn... Can't argue with the facts but love the knife holster of the assault boots

@user-zf1we7rv6m

Hiking boots are hands down the best. They sound like sneakers but have the durability of boots. Close second would be hunter boots but they only sound like sneakers when crouched.

@vasper7582

I used to religiously look for assault boots for the knife slot but realized I make the effort to find a belt, canteen, sheath, and holster anyway so I ditched having two knives for one on my sheath and just having a sharpening stone on the side. I used to search for the black trail shoes after I made the switch because I noticed that I could hear people wearing boots at what seemed like 50 meters away from me and are much more distinctive sounding than smaller shoes. The zombies steps sound very similar when crouched or jogging compared to the boots so I like to mask my walking sound when I feel someone close by to the speed of a zombie and have caught many people off guard that way. The combat boots have been a real game changer tho cuz that extra insulation and durability lets me comfortably drop leather sewing kits if need be especially since they weigh a ton and take up so much space. Hiking boots are a really good civilian alternative from the looks of it.

@the_fool_of_space

imagine getting stabbed to death by a fully grown man in ballerina shoes

@kanadiacoolaid7902

Foot wraps should have their own category, they really aren't standalone shoes, they're a tool. You throw them on when you need them and then take off. Application for stealth

@xxtrra

when i hear someone around me i always take my shoes off

@kingswellybelly8446

Good point.
Counter argument: Fange in the belt sheathe, Fange in the boot

@KonradWadenhauer

how have I never seen the ballerina shoes?

@Alcatonic

There should be socks that bring the quietness level down and increase protection while wearing a shoe. And while worn by itself all it does is stop cuts from happening as often

@thewolf7531

Youd think the boots made for hunting would be quieter

@unicellularorganism22

Personally, jungle boots or combat boots are my favorite cuz jungle boots are really good for rain and the tan ones match my cuu woodland outfit and the combat boots are as loud as regular shoes instead of other boots.

@Nunya269

Love jogging shoes, spawn with em on half the time, sick colourways, if you don’t already have em they’re easy to find, best looking but definitely try to upgrade quickly lol

@MadWinte

as I first time played in DayZ in old 0.28 finding red assault boots, i'm still taking them over every others even in this days. good memory thing.

@strkeout

Sorry but I disagree. You have to incorporate how loud they are. The athletic shoes to me are the best. They are very quiet and last quite long. The military boots make too much noise and you’re more easily heard which, to me, is a lot more important that the % of health protection you get with the boots.

@NickTheAustralian

I paused this before I started. Gumboots all the way. You never have to dry them, easy to fish in, repairs with duct tape which does everything else. Id been playing for years and always ran military shoes, good for durability in a way and spare knife sometimes but Gumboots or sneakers are the best. Sneakers for pvp, gumboots for general use

@RogueRegulator

Dress sheos are my choice. Style, quiet, easy to come by.

@whyareusobad3528

Medieval boots are waterproof and give medium insulation OK durability for boots but they are definitely my favorite
Since my outfits tend to lean towards the water proof stat

@imfatkid420

Most of my family was military and they would show how quite they could be in boots and god it was scary like you know your home and where to step to not make alot of sound and they would purposely walk on those parts and still make almost no sound

@pistalpete420

the wellies are the best in my book, i always travel on foot, to repair the wellies all you need is duct tape not a leather kit like the rest, the assault boots are cool because of the knife holster

@HiddenMis7

I like how you probably painstakingly placed those shoes on the shelves
