@DavidRN85

Fellow Chattanoogan here. We spent a week in La Paz this January of 2024 and we were equally as amazed by it as y'all were. Absolutely our favorite place in Mexico. It just felt so real in the city proper, not overly touristy. Oh and the food. THE FOOD!

Also as we described it to our friends it's like the blue waters of the Caribbean and south Pacific met the red rock deserts of Utah. Just stunning scenery everywhere you look. We will be back sooner than later.

Thank you for sharing this video!

TERRIFIC TOUR. Thx for taking me along. 💙

@RobertEchten

As a foreigner who has called La Paz home for over 16 years, I want to thank you for showing me my city. As with any place you live in for a longer period of time, you forget the beauty and slip into the mundane.... a couple of things I would like to add: Yes, the climate is almost always sunny and nice, but July to September can be (and almost always is) brutally hot (100-120 F every day). The second part of Balandra you discovered at the end of your shift is my favorite part and actually where the famous 'Hongo' (the mushroom-shaped rock you see in lots of advertising and souvenirs for La Paz) is located. I can still remember when it was a famous beach, but not WORLD famous and you could go on a week day and be the only one there and see dolphins and other marine life up close (if you are lucky, you can still see that ocassionaly...). The rock formation you visited I think is called 'La sierra de la calavera' or loosely translated, Skull rock 😉). If in the future you pass back through La Paz again and need help or advice or information or recommendations, please feel free to contact me. I've had the pleasure to meet and help a few Youtube Van lifers already.

Always love seeing videos of La Paz, where I grew up and currently live most of the year. Nicely done.

@LeeYvesMexico

We were fortunate to live in La Paz 1 year it's so beautiful and friendly.

@JohnWCR

I’ve seen lots of videos of Baja, but this is by far the best of La Paz. What a beautiful place that would make anyone want to visit as for the beach Kim and I are both are huge beach lovers. We’ve been to the best in our opinion, so far in the Bahamas, which were all private beaches From South Carolina we both love the sand in the shoes. The beach you were at has what we call sugar sand. It’s caused by a big reef just off the shore and the beach being protected in a peninsula. That’s also why the water is so clear there because all the sand has settled to the bottom and it’s not mixed in the water making it cloudy. Super excited to see the rest of your adventures.

Beautiful! Maybe someday. Have a wonderful time in Mexico mainland!

@danplasma

Feeding that adorable street poocher! awwwww....awesome

@rebeccaleary2

Thank you for showing us this gem! I was fortunate enough to have a rich uncle and he lived in La Paz for most of the year (we're all from Seattle) and one summer he invited us all down. It was the most spectacular time; eating large shrimp that was just caught ...never had anything so fresh & delicious. The folks were so unbelievably nice. Plus, they had a calming and slower pace of life which was something I'd never experienced before - I loved that. It's the perfect size town. Not too big or too small. Went to Cabo for the day and felt like I was back in the US - yuck. Cabo is artificial and phoney, La Paz is the real deal!

@jennifer6437

Thank you for sharing! I've never been there before and this was very informative. Stay safe and have fun! 😊
