The 501 was the example that good leaders have good followers. If you ask any unit "if your commander orders you to follow the more reckless unorthodox and crazy plan, will you follow it?" The 501 would answer that's not an orrder thats Thursday. The care and love of both Anakin and Ahsoka for their men turn the 501 in a fanatical unit of sort, they will follow them to hell and back because they will be with them enduring the same hardships and doing everything they can to protect them.

I personally image the reason why rex called her commander after she said he didnt have to wasnt out of respect necessarily but more of a call back to when they met and rex states "experience out ranks everything" she had the experience to earn that title, he didnt have to call her that but he chose to as she earned it (then again it was definitely said with respect in mind)

The saddest part of Order 66 is how the clones fought with the Jedi for years and they grew bonds with some of them but then they betrayed despite all their fights together

I remember some years ago when I had seen all the live action movies and the Mandalorian just came out. I told myself: everything non-live action isn’t that important to watch. Instant regret when I started with Clone Wars.
