@clarkso65

Nice, this is the way YouTube must be, thanks for the video!!!!

@waritrojdeduang995

Very good summary for overall Information!!!

@Jezsissek

Pracuji na vývoji vertikální turbíny s nízkou rozběhovou rychlostí a s obvodovou rychlostí asi 3x vyšší než rychlost větru. Doufám, že účinnost mé konstrukce překoná i Betzův limit.

@npickart

This video is awfully biased towards horizontal turbines and has taken the absolute minimum efficiency statistics compared to the maximum of the horizontal turbines.

@justtinkering6713

The only way a vertical turbine makes sense is when you shield the blades that go against the wind. Then you need a wind vane tail.

I live Wind Turbines. Thailand.

@barryminbiole6199

Consider the potential of a matrix or grid of Vertical wind turbines with cable stays at the top of the towers

@Xingqiwu387

It's really too bad that engineers have not been able to come up with affordable wind turbines for home use that can really exploit the wind to the fullest. Many of us who live in coastal areas with constant winds see the potential, but also understand that NOTHING currently on the market is really viable. The devices either cost so much that they payoff wouldn't come for 50 years, or they generate just enough electricity to power a table lamp. Solar and biogas are clearly the only viable options.

@xnell24

Why worry about efficiency, wind is free! Factor in less noise, less space occupied, easier maintenance, less foundational strength requirement. IMHO vertical wind turbine is the winner.

@davidmuresan1735

Both turbines are a bad choice because take just a little wind, and most of the wind pass through blades. My "dmmd" wind turbine takes much more of wind energy. I designed two such turbines, one horizontal and one vertical. There are three kinds of turbines: "Wind direction change" (as the horizontal turbine), "Turbine different shape" (as the vertical turbine in this video) and "Wind direct hit" (My idea and is not yet known)

@abrahammagdalena5821

Ask a Sikh, they know how to wind turbans ... 😂

@rafalm8598

the best price-to-power ratio has the Dragon Dospel 1500 W vertical turbine

@johnsavage6628

Why is there even a debate? Vawts turn at lower wind speeds. Are compact, and simply they are fun to watch. And are more efficient. Here's the better mouse trap.

@jorgefletes5681

On my channel there are prototypes of the Fletes wind turbine, which according to calculations exceeds the Betz limit, because if it can reduce the speed of the wind to 20% then it would be extracting 80% of its kinetic energy.

@stevenwilliams1915

Efficiency not eficiency...

@michaelvanallen6400

Reality: Wind turbine are never a "better choice for homes"! With solar panels you generate at least 10 times more electricity with the same investment in time & money!
Reliable and almost maintenance-free for at least 25 years.
Electricity yield is proportional to third power of wind speed: +100% wind generates +800% more electricity! But close to ground: 0 constant wind!
Therefore all practical tests of ground-based small wind turbines show: 1) They hardly produce any electricity! 2) They do not last long!
