I just turn 31 and I started to train in mauy Thai kickboxing and pumping iron at the gym a few years back I still feel like a teenager.
I'm 41 and I feel in better shape than ever and I've trained hard my whole life
I think this is accurate for a lot of people. I was a competitive powerlifter for 20 years and I peaked at age 42 when I totaled elite in two different weight classes. Hard work + consistency eventually pays off.
20s are for gaining experience, 40s and up we're built to survive those experiences
As someone who didn't start training until 28 and didn't get serious/smart about it until 34. This makes me feel a bit better.
Old man strength is real.
George Foreman fought well into his late 40s. I think his last fight he fought Shannon Briggs at 48-49 years old and Briggs was 25. He said in an interview he had more power at 48 than he had when he was in his 20s.
I'm 48 and I'm Just Warming Up 💪😎
I,m 42 just started going to the gym a month ago and I am benching 225 pounds..already...my trainer is super impressed....
Well I'm 34 so this is great news as I'm consistent with calisthenics, my boxing workout, lifting weights and I do Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Life style is huge
Our prime, if we take care of ourselves, could even be maintained into our 60's I believe. Most simply don't possess either the willpower, the resources, or even the genetics to reach that far, however.
As I get older and stay healthy I notice Im above all the youngsters at work. Im 32 and have more endurance and stronger than the 20 year olds (not faster lol). All I do is work, and eat healthy. We have a guy who is 41 and he outworks me
Thank you for this. I need this encouragement
Old man strength
Love your work
There's some quote that goes like this... "an old man in the wild west is a dangerous man indeed" - the idea that if an old man is still around and prominent in such a competitive dangerous time then he must be there for a reason ha
Caleb was 85 and felt like he was still in his 40s when he took out three giants on the mountain of Hebron.
This is so true I fell at my best at 40 and I fell incan get better with years to come
